What is laparoscopic spay – dog Lilibet
Laparoscopic spaying of a dog is a modern, minimally invasive procedure in which, instead of a single large incision in the abdominal wall, we make two very small openings (approximately 0.5 cm). We use a specialized camera and instruments to visualize and remove the ovaries.
During routine spaying of healthy animals, the uterus is not removed; however, if we detect uterine pathology (such as early-stage pyometra or other conditions), our clinic also performs a laparoscopically assisted removal of the uterus through the same small incisions.
